Toasted Ciabatta and Turkey
Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, oven toasted ciabatta roll with crisp romaine will fill you up anytime of the day.
Ingredients
For the Sandwich:
- 1 ciabatta roll sliced in half
- 4-5 slices turkey
- 2 slices cheese American, cheddar, Swiss, or your choice
- ½ cup shredded romaine lettuce
- 2-3 slices vine-ripened tomato
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
such as Graza Drizzle - Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Toast the Ciabatta
- Lightly toast the sliced ciabatta roll in a toaster or air fryer until golden and slightly crisp. This helps prevent the sandwich from getting soggy while adding a great crunch.
Make the Olive Oil Mayo
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise with a drizzle of olive oil. This gives the spread a velvety texture and subtle richness that elevates the sandwich.
Assemble the Sandwich
- Spread a thin layer of olive oil mayo on the bottom half of the toasted ciabatta.
- Place the cheese slices first, allowing them to slightly melt onto the warm bread.
- Layer the turkey slices evenly over the cheese.
- Add the tomato slices, seasoning them lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper to enhance their flavor.
- Top with shredded romaine lettuce for a fresh crunch.
- Drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil over everything before placing the top half of the ciabatta on the sandwich.
Slice & Serve
- Using a sharp knife, cut the sandwich in half.
